The on-going operations and business affairs of PCSAS are managed by an Executive Director appointed by the PCSAS Board of Directors. The Executive Director and the Board President are the official public voices of PCSAS, representing the organization in its internal and external relationships with applicant programs; the media; and state, federal, professional, and public entities.
On July 1, 2026, the PCSAS Board of Directors appointed Laura L Namy, former Executive Director of the Society for Research in Child Development, as PCSAS Executive Director. Laura replaced Joseph E. Steinmetz (former Chancellor of the University of Arkansas). Previous Executive Directors include Alan G. Kraut (former Executive Director of the Association for Psychological Science) and Richard McFall (PCSAS’s founding Executive Director).
